The Story Behind Coyote Way

The Coyote Way:X Expanded Cinema is a continuation of Sundance Native Lab supported project  The Coyote Way: Going Back Home, a short sci-fi/docu-narrative film about a young boy named Charlie, who must make a life-changing decision to join a Native street gang or begin an epic pilgrimage that will reveal the truth of his existence.

This is a multidimensional cinematic experience of The Coyote Way: Going Back Home short film which is intertwined with performance, live score, 360/VR and audience participation. This new way of storytelling asks the audience to shift their perception of Native identity, culture, and narrative by asking them to participate in Charlie’s journey through the urban reservation Little Earth of United Tribes, the only Native Housing Complex in the United States.
